What is your hourly rate?

Do you lock me into a contract?

No contracts are imposed on our customers, you can use us for as many hours as you like. Quotations are free when we visit you home, so rest assured there will not be any hidden charges EVER!!!

What methods of payment do you accept?

Invoices are sent at the end of each calendar month with Helpful Hands bank details attached. We accept BACS, Cheque or Cash if preferred.

Do you carry out spring cleans or one off cleans?

Yes, one off cleans are regularly requested, especially after parties, after vacating premises and even when good old "mother-in-law" is coming over. One off cleans will generally be carried as close to the request date as possible. Spring cleans are in effect the same as one off cleans but they are deep cleans designed especially to bring your house up to an immaculate standard.

Do you Clean Inside Windows?

Yes, but there is a height restriction on this task as our insurance will only cover our cleaning staff to clean at normal window height without the use of ladders (or any other instrument to increase height) and cleaning poles. We will clean the inside only, but please see our business links if you need an outside window cleaner.

Do you clean ovens?

No, we do not personally clean ovens but we work with a professional oven cleaning company, listed in our business links. The company we use and highly reccommend are Oven Gleam, as their work is always to a very high standard.

Do you carry out monthly cleans?

We can carry out any cleaning task that you require, monthly, fortnightly, weekly, daily, one offs, quarterly and even annual cleans if required. Contact us for more details.

Would you use my products and equipment if I prefer you to do so?

Yes, we often get requests of this nature as a portion of our customers suffer from allergies or breathing problems. The products we use are safe and have been thoroughly tested but we fully appreciate all customer requests.

Will I have regular cleaners?

Yes, we aim for keeping continuity as this means our clients and cleaning staff build a pleasant working relationship. However, in some circumstances a stand in cleaner will be used where required (annual leave, sickness, appointments etc).

Are all of your employees female?

No, we do have male staff and they are just as efficient and friendly as our female staff. The "who we are" section shows some of the staff members.

Are your employees CRB (criminal records bureau) checked?

All of our staff are subject to a CRB check.

Are you insured?

Yes, we have public liability insurance up to the value of £5,000,000 (5 million pounds).

How will I recognise your staff?

All of our staff will wear uniform with the Helpful Hands logo embroidered on the front. Our female staff wear black tabbards and our male staff have black polo shirts, both sporting the Helpful Hands logo.

Can you supply me with a reference?

Yes, and in addition to the "customer comments" section I also hold personal references supplied by my clients.

How many cleaners will clean for me?

Once we have established your requirements we will assign the required amount of staff. Generally our staff work in pairs, but if a request comes in for anything that requires a larger team then more cleaners will get assigned accordingly. We always aim to get the job finished within the time customers ask for.

Can I book time with you and set cleaning tasks as and when the jobs need doing?

Yes, by all means do. This has worked very well for some of our clients, and we even have clients who work with us.

Do you clean when there is not anyone present at the property?

Yes, this is fine. We hold keys for the majority of our clients, and this is a big advantage to us as key jobs are far easier to fit into our busy rota.
